Built From Real-World Construction Waste Diversion Experience

What began as a passion for hands-on construction and demolition waste diversion labor in Colorado evolved into a broader mission: helping the industry better understand how to manage construction and demolition debris as a resource.

Through project consulting, diversion planning, pilot programs, presentations, and collaboration with municipalities and contractors, Kathryn Slaughter has worked to make waste diversion more practical, measurable, and accessible across the construction industry.

ConstructionWasteDiversion.com was created to expand that impact by providing education, tools, and resources that help professionals implement effective diversion practices in the real world.

ConstructionWasteDiversion.com was created to help general contractors, industry and trade professionals, and municipalities better manage construction, demolition, and remodel debris through practical education, landfill diversion systems, and digital tools.

Built on the foundation of VERT Sites, LLC, a women-owned waste diversion consultancy which has kept more than than 5 million pounds of construction, demolition, and remodel debris from entering landfills since 2019.
